Puget Sound EnergyPuget Sound Energy Rebates

PSE has many rebates and promotions. As a pre-qualified PSE contractor, we can extend most of these rebates to our customers.

Energy Audits - PSE offers several rebates to cover the cost of an energy evaluation for your home:

Replacement Windows - electric homes only:

  • Save $5 per square foot, up to $1,500 when you upgrade to energy-efficient windows with a U-factor of .30 or lower.  Replacement windows can be vinyl windows, fiberglass windows, or wood windows.  Replacement sliding glass doors are also eligible. 

Other Energy Efficiency Measures - PSE offers the following rebates:

  • Ductless heat pump - electric homes only (1 ton minimum):  $1,200
  • Air-source heat pump: $200 - $800, depending on efficiency of system
  • Heat pump water heaters: $500 - $800
  • Converting to Natural Gas Rebates:
    • Home and water heating: $1,950 to $3,950
    • Home heating only: $500 to $2,500
    • Water heating only: $950

Tacoma Power Rebates

Tacoma Power offers rebates, zero-interest loans and grants to help you pay for the changes.

  • Windows: Tacoma Power will pay up to $1,000 when you replace your inefficient windows 

In most cases, any remaining cost can be financed with a seven-year, zero-interest loan. also, qualifying low-income customers are eligible for a grant that typically covers the entire cost of new windows and insulation. 

  • Ductless Heat Pump: From Tacoma Power, you can get an $800 rebate or a seven-year, zero-interest loan toward the cost of a ductless heat pump and basic installation

Income-qualified customers may be eligible for a grant that pays for the whole thing.

 


Mason County PUD 3 Rebates

Mason County provides customers with rebates on insulation, duct sealing, ductless heat pumps, air source heat pumps, and heat pump water heaters!  

  • Ductless mini-split heat pump: $1,500 rebate
  • Heat Pump Water Heaters: $500

Federal Incentives for Energy Efficiency and Weatherization

The federal government provides tax credits for energy efficiency measures.  The federal government also provides rebaes toward certain energy efficient products. 

The federal Energy Star program extends rebates to customers upgrading to energy efficient products.  To find out more, visit the Energy Star tax credits web page.  To collect your tax credits, use the IRS’s Residential Energy Credit Form 5695.  

The Energy Tax Incentives Assistance Program provides updated information on federal tax credits for residential energy efficiency improvements.

The federal Energy Star program also extends rebates to customers upgrading to energy efficient products. Visit the Energy Star Rebates page and enter your zip code to learn what rebates are available through Energy Star Partners.
